Amptec ntwrx delivers a full AV solution to Sonhouse

Sonhouse, a Brussels-based sound production agency focussing on the creation of sound identities for film and brands has been collaborating with Amptec for Protools..



On the hardware side, Amptec recently replaced all of Sonhouse's Macs with new Mac Studios as well as installing an Avid M10 S6 24-fader console and a 32-fader M40 S6 console. The company also put in an additional DDP storage system from Ardis Technologies, thus completing the full upgrade of Sonhouse's post-production facilities (ADR, dubbing, mixing etc.).

A rather different challenge was helping Sonhouse achieve their annual certified TPN status following a request a few years ago for their security status from a major international production company. Today, TPN certification is a crucial security compliance for media content companies working globally. Achieving it is a complex and time-consuming process that presents a significant challenge for most companies. Dietrich De Bruyne is Amptec's resident expert on TPN certification, and he oversaw the entire process for Sonhouse.



“Security budgets vary between institutions, such as a major bank versus a post-production house,” explains Dietrich. “Therefore, the art lies in balancing budget constraints with technical requirements, while providing adequate explanation and awareness at all levels within the organisation. It's crucial to respect workflows; in security practice, there's a significant risk of negatively impacting productivity or slowing down production. The goal is to bring clarity and awareness throughout the organisation, implement necessary technical controls with the internal team, and provide the required documentation and reporting to facilitate smooth assessments.”
